Hong Kong is a city of sights and smells. It's a wonderful view into a society that promotes hard work over all else. I had the pleasure of visiting Hong Kong in the summer, and I'd love to tell you all about it.
Ngong Ping 360

First on the bucket list was the ride across large swaths of land; Ngong Ping 360, the cable car ride with some of the best views of Hong Kong. Throughout this 25-minute ride amongst the clouds, you'll see coastal beachfronts, sloping mountain ranges, and the city in your peripheral view. Ngong Ping offers a crystal cabin, a somewhat see-through cable car, which offers you unprecedented viewing angles. There's also a Crystal+ cabin, which is fully clear (although pricey). The car leads to Ngong Ping Village, which is actually a show village, with tons of restaurants, tourist shops and photography opportunities available.
Tian Tan Buddha

This is a truly spectacular sight, although a hard-earned one. To get to this magnificent statue and to have a look at the well-designed exhibits inside, you must climb over a hundred steps. It's a daunting task, but I promise you the place is worth it (and has air conditioning).
IFC Mall

IFC Mall is a truly gigantic place. It's easy to spend an entire day just looking at the different stores inside. IFC Mall is also quite easy to navigate, with an easy to understand, oval layout which spans 4 floors. It's roomy, spacious and extravagant; three factors that make up a great mall.
Disneyland

Come on. Did you really thing a tour of Hong Kong would be complete without a trip to Disneyland HK? It's easy to lose yourself amidst the rides, as they're all quite fun! You don't need IDs or passes, just an entry ticket. It's all quite convenient, in my opinion, as you just get to relax and check out the rides instead of worrying about losing your pass. My favorites were Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars and Hyperspace Mountain, as they were both absolute joyrides! (Note to future visitors: Bring a portable fan and prepare to wait in line. It gets HOT in Hong Kong, and this is coming from someone who lives in the UAE).
