The Seven Summits: The Transition Point

Recently, I visited the Seven Summits trail in Fujairah. As stated in its name, the trail consists of seven peaks, each representing one of the seven emirates in the UAE. The trail wasn't too difficult, but the photography opportunities it provided were endless! Before I get to that, though, I have to talk about the feel of standing so high up. The wind blew with a stronger force than at sea level, making each step feel weightless. That weightlessness translates into adrenaline, with the fierce winds combating you as you struggle forwards. It may not seem exciting, but there are truly no words to describe that 'on top of the world' feeling.

Photo session:

I don't know about you, but I always see photos as miniature novels. The more you look, the more details you uncover. With these photos, I wanted to tell a series of stories. Ones where people dauntlessly scale the peaks, building long-lasting structures. The city backgrounds in some of the other shots were used to show the progression in abilities, going from small forts to sprawling cityscapes. Even though these mini-forts were only built recently, the ancient energy they exude more than makes up for it. The Seven Summits trail was a memorable experience; one I won't be forgetting soon.
