Wadi Abadilah. What a hidden gem. The name itself may be confusing, but sometimes, the strangest of names hide the most dazzling of sights. The trail itself is rated a beginner trail, yet it still provides its fair share of challenges for those willing to stray off the beaten path.
It is a wadi, so beauty in the mountains is to be expected. I lost count of the sheer number of picturesque landscapes we passed on our way to the top from the bottom. However, that was just the surface. Looking up is always a great option, but looking down helps you stay on your feet. Or, in this case, witness the change in reality the further down in scale you go.
Photo Sesh:
Something that really intrigues me about life is the fact that a sudden change in size (say, to the size of a mouse) fundamentally alters the reality you live in. In one, water is safe. In the other, it will suck you in and drown you. That relatively small change in size alters the world around us in ways that are so mind-numbingly inconceivable. Although I admit I haven't done a great job of capturing that in this gallery, I hope that I can convince you to at least look down every once in a while. The creatures beneath your feet have a different lifestyle altogether; one which you have no access to.
